The Rudd government has given Australians a Budget that is horrific, I believe, because it is a Budget that destroys dreams.
This Budget sends a loud and clear message to Australians that they are better off not having a dream for themselves or their families.
But someone’s dream still continues - the Prime Minister. He has given himself a little gift in this budget of $13 million extra for his department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and an extra 65 staff! So much for doing it tough!
At a time when Australians are told to cut back and make do, this excess by the Prime Minister is obscene.
This Budget destroys many simple dreams that Australians hold - to own a home, have a family, enjoy a secure retirement after a lifetime of work or for a fair go for their small business. Simple dreams no longer possible.
Those Australians struggling to have a family and turning to IVF for help will find that hope shattered. More than 11,000 babies are born on IVF every year - this Budget will hit hard those Australians who dream one day of having their own child.
This is a Budget that punishes Australians who want to improve their lot in life. It punishes incentive.
It tells pensioners that if you want to get a better pension, don’t stay married. Get divorced and you’ll get more help.
I’m so disappointed that this Budget doesn’t do more to help those currently working who will find themselves without a job in a year’s time and the youth of Australia who will struggle to find work.
What do you think?
i respectfully thank you for tons of meningful message you sent in.

Where have you been all our lives Steve, you acually sound like you have some common sence. I will be voting for you in the senate from now on. Chaiman Rudd is obscene on just about everything since he fooled this country into voting him in. I would not like to be him on judgement day. You can hold your head high.
