Fielding says no deal

Family First senator Steve Fielding said that with only one day of the talks to go, there was no way a deal would be struck.

“That’s the right way (to go) and the prime minister has to come back to parliament next year because we have to sort this through,” he said.

“We’ve got to debate the science and then we’ve got to debate how would you respond if we do have a problem.”
